More Than a Job: Joann and Jenny’s Impact at Waterview Pointe

At Waterview Pointe, we believe it’s important to honor our staff and show them just how much they are appreciated. Every month, we take time to recognize team members who make a difference in the lives of our residents and families. Last month, we celebrated those with special milestones. This month, we’re excited to introduce you to two more incredible individuals — Jenny Offenberger and Joann Allen!

In celebration of Administrative Professionals Day on April 23, we are proud to spotlight Joann Allen, our wonderful Receptionist and Transport Scheduler. Joann has been in her current role for a year, but she has been dedicated to healthcare for ten years. Before becoming the welcoming face at our front desk, Joann worked directly with residents as an STNA, known for her infectious smile and joyful laughter. Today, she continues to make residents, families, and visitors feel at home the moment they walk through our doors.



When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Joann shared, "I love helping people out. I'm not just answering phones and scheduling appointments — I’m getting to know the families of our residents. I get to spend time talking with them when they come up front for coffee or a snack. It's really nice to connect with them every day." She added that she treasures the friendships she’s built with coworkers and residents alike, saying, "We have the best of both here at Waterview."

During Health Information Management Week, April 14–18, we also proudly recognized Jenny Offenberger, our Medical Records and Central Supply Manager. Jenny has been with Waterview Pointe for five years and brings over 30 years of experience in long-term care. Her journey through various roles — including STNA, staff scheduling, transport, administrative assistant, housekeeping, laundry, and activities — reflects her deep dedication to serving residents in every way possible.



Jenny shared, "I enjoy being able to grow in the healthcare field. Working in so many different areas has allowed me to learn and assist our residents in meaningful ways." She also spoke about her pride in helping reopen the building that is now Waterview Pointe, where she previously worked for 23 years. "It’s been so rewarding to watch Waterview grow into the outstanding facility it is today."

Both Jenny and Joann play vital roles in the behind-the-scenes care that supports our residents every single day. Their willingness to jump in wherever needed, their compassion, and their dedication to excellence make them invaluable members of the Waterview Pointe family. We are so proud to celebrate them — and all of our amazing team members — who make Waterview a place filled with heart, care, and community.
